€1.4 million of heroin has been seized by Gardai in Dublin city centre.
The drugs were sized as part of Operation Thistle, targeting organised criminals in Dublin South City Centre.
Gardaí from the Kevin Street Drugs Unit found heroin, with an estimated street value of €1.4 million and cannabis herb, with a estimated value of €10,000.
The Drugs Unit carried out a planned search of a premises within the Kevin Street District yesterday.
One man in his 30’s was arrested and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice, (Drug Trafficking), Act, 1996 at Kevin Street Garda Station.
