Stabbing victim found dead in Finglas lane and teen arrested
A man was fatally stabbed this morning in a lane way in Finglas, Dublin.
The knifing took place shortly after midnight on St Joseph’s Park, Dunsink Lane, Finglas.
The 33-year-old man died at the scene and an 18-year-old male was arrested this morning. He is currently being held at Finglas Garda Station.
The killing comes just a day after a man was shot dead in Tallaght.
The body of that man, believed to be in his 30s, was found at Hills Lane, Crooksling just off the N81 Tallaght-Blessington Road yesterday morning.
A man and woman in their 20s were arrested after the man’s body was found in Tallaght.
Police are today appealing for information to assist with the latest investigation.
A Garda spokeman said: “We are appealing for witnesses who were in the area of Dunsink Lane between 11.30 pm last night and 12.30 am this morning to contact us at the incident room in Finglas Garda Station.”
